October In The News
Pike Creek Dental has so many fun things coming up over the next few months! As everyone knows we are in the middle of a major renovation and everything is coming along so nicely. Our new operatories and waiting room should be finished in a few more weeks. Our main focus is always our patients and we want to make sure we are taking care of you in the most amazing way possible.
Attention!
We will be closing the office on Wednesday, October 20th for our annual fall staff retreat. The office will also be closed on Friday, October 22nd so all staff members can attend Dr. Robinson’s 4th Annual Pediatric Airway Symposium held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Since we were unable to host our Trunk or Treat last year, we have decided to make this year bigger and better than ever before! Pike Creek Dental has teamed up with Alpine and Rafetto to provide the most amazing experience ever for our trunk or treaters of all ages! We will have a parking lot full of decorated trunks, 3 amazing Food Trucks, Mister Softee, Wilmington Mounted Patrol, Wilmington K-9 Unit, prizes and more! Please stop by with the family for a fun filled evening!

As a small business we pride ourselves on buying gifts and lunches for meetings from other small local businesses. We continually strive to find new businesses to support. PureBread has been so good to us the last few times we have used them for various events in the office. We have purchased two beautiful cakes, one for a bridal shower and one for Dr. Whitney’s birthday, over the last month. The first cake, for Sarah, was a chocolate chip raspberry mousse cake from Cakes By Kim in Wilmington. The second cake was a funfetti cake with white chocolate mousse with funfetti folded into the mousse made by The Cake Sisters in Delaware City. Both cakes were amazing! Every month we pick one of our amazing patients to give a present from a small local business. For the month of September we pick, Mr. A! Mr. A. has been a patient with us for over 15 years. He is a phenomenal individual who is dedicated to his profession. We hope Mr. A. enjoys his giftcard to PureBread and we can’t wait to see him in the office soon.

We always love to brag about how amazing our patients are! On Monday one of our sweet patients brought sweet treats for our team members! Thank you so much for thinking of us. The brownies were such a hit!
In October PCD Wears PINK!
We are proud to announce our staff gave a generous donation to Susan G. Komen Foundation! Every Wednesday in October you will see our staff wearing Pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Please consider doing your part in finding a cure for such a horrible disease that affects so many families.

Pike Creek Dental WOW Winner!
At Pike Creek Dental we have started a WOW Winner for each month for our team. A QR code was created and posted all over the office to make it easy for all of us to recognize our staff members for acts of kindness and above and beyond moments with patients.

Here are some of the amazing things our staff said about Michelle!
Michelle has been a hygienist with Pike Creek Dental for 37 years and has always given her all to the practice. Michelle is an avid gardener and always brings her harvest to the staff members, which is super kind. Recently, Michelle had a very young timid patient and was able to get the child to calm down and relax in her chair. The patient’s mother was so blown away by how calm her child was and that made her experience 100 times better. Thank you, Michelle, for delivering the WOW experience to this young patient!
Donations
Pike Creek Dental continually strives to give back to our community. This past holiday season, employees made gift boxes full of dental items and age appropriate toys for Samaritan’s Purse, an organization that sends boxes of toys to children in need overseas. We also made numerous whitening baskets for local charities and local school events. Dental hygiene bags to local homeless shelters, Independence School, Skyline Elementary, St. Anthony of Padua Grade School, MS Society, Kay’s Kamp are just a few of the many charities we have donated to in the last few months.
